Kathleen Kirkwood is currently the found-R of the b.r.a. ® recycling Agency; established in 2010 in Nashville, Tennesee, by inventing a Patent Pending Methodology to Upcycle Bra’s into commercial carpet padding. She began as a Ford Model in 1979 and started a Clip-On Shoulder Pad Business Pints-Of-Pads ® from her NYC Walk-Up apartment Kitchen table in 1983. After a Sell-Out Launch at Bloomingdale’s she got a call from Oprah and appeared on her Segment: ‘women-in-business’. Things Changed! Shortly after, in 1993, Kathleen auditioned for QVC Tv, and continues a 28-year career with her KK Branded Solutions in shapewear and Intimate Apparel. It was then, she saw for her own eyes, the massive quantities of bra’s shipping from her China Factory to the United States. Overwhelmed she came back to the States and sought support form the American Chemistry Council (plastics industry) and Bra Manufacturers like MAIDENFORM for donations to create her How-To-Recycle Concept. Her method extracts metal and separates Plastic & Textile to form Carpet Padding with Leggett & Platt and the Metal is being collected; to be sold by the “pound” and donated to Breast Cancer Research. She has Recycled for Brands with Facebook Marketing, Retailer traffic driving Trade-In’s Store Bins, Mail-In Envelopes and Circular Fashion Downloadable Campaigns for Intimate Apparel Start-Ups. She has trademarked the Term Annuity Fashion ™ to transform traditional Sales Models from one & done, to a lifetime connection with a customer of wear/recycle/replenish…
