As the Chief Marketing Officer at Nest, Kristin has been instrumental in building programs to educate consumers and industry members on the needs and opportunities surrounding what she helped to coin as the"new handwork economy” - a global economy that connects craftspeople, brands, and consumers in a circular and human-centric value chain. Engaging the influential voices of media publications from Vogue to The New York Times, while working alongside a network of major brand partners like Target, QVC, West Elm and more, Kristin has helped to remove the taboo from “homework” while helping to better connect consumers with handworkers and ethical craftsmanship. In 2017, Kristin led the public launch of Nest’s Standards for Homes & Small Workshops at the United Nations, and in 2016, she helped to establish the Nest Advisory Board, a formalized community of industry pioneers who are raising their voices in support of artisans. Prior to Nest, Kristin spent four years helping to build the brand at KIND Healthy Snacks, where she was the company’s twentieth hire. She graduated Cum Laude from Dartmouth College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Brain Sciences.
