Tsui Yuen-­‐Pappas is a creative executive with over 25 years of experience working in the fashion industry. Her career started in design and has since expanded to include sustainable global sourcing and manufacturing, of designer ready-­‐to-­‐ wear, footwear and accessories. Tsui is an expert in start up business development, and a pioneer in sustainable sourcing practices. She has travelled extensively worldwide to partner with factories and suppliers pushing the boundaries to create innovative materials and manufacturing practices that are eco-­‐friendly and have lower carbon footprints. Tsui is currently the Director of Sustainability and Prodcut Development sourcing for JS International, which includes brands Amur, Halston, Carmen Marc Valvo, Theia, Kay Unger and JS collections. She is currently working with factories in Peru and Portugal that are in the forefront of developing eco-­‐ friendly yarns and fabrics and creating circular practices in manufacturing. She is also working with mills to develop cruelty free wools and recycled denim. She has successfully managed multi-­‐million dollar businesses for brands such as 31.Phillip Lim, Theory, Tamara Mellon, Emanuel Ungaro and Alexander Wang by building ethically compliant partnerships with suppliers and manufacturers internationally creating transparent supply chains. A staunch community volunteer, Tsui is active is currently a fellow with Build a Nest, providing mentorships to businesses in developing countries. She is also an appointed member of the Diversity & Inclusion committee of the Village of Croton on Hudson She is also a mentor & guest lecturer at Parsons and LIM College on sustainability and global sourcing.
